Hi, there!
It's me, the girl behind the lens, computer screen, phone, emails, texts, DMs, EVERYTHING! I'm a one woman show over here. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Richard, and we have two beautiful babies. My handsome little man, Vincent, is 10 years old, and our little firecracker, Avalysse, is 8 years old. They are my everything and the reason why I am here today. Besides loving what I do, everything I do is for them. They are my driving force to keep at it...my ultimate motivation!
I'm Jeannette! Born and raised in Miami, FL, with my very Cuban family. Some may call me "Bengo" or Mrs. Bengochea. I was an elementary and middle school teacher for 10 years. It was my passion [and still is], but I have learned that we can definitely have more than one passion, which is how I ended up here. I never imagined I would be where I am today. Never did I think I would leave teaching to be a photographer, and never did I expect to meet such amazing people while doing it. A "hobby" that started in 2010 unexpectedly turned into a career when my daughter was born. I had been taking sessions on and off all these years while still teaching, but when Avalysse was born I took a year off for maternity leave and never looked back. I officially resigned from teaching in 2018 to pursue this passion of mine which has allowed me to be more present with my family. Life takes us places we never expect, and I've learned to go with the flow, embrace change, and be open to all the possibilities...as long as it makes us happy.
I love coffee, good conversation, a nice cocktail (Old Fashioned is my go-to), and going out to dinner with the babester!
I believe in real moments and interactions. That's where the magic happens! This is why I fell in love with lifestyle photography. That image of you consoling your child after a tantrum during a session is what makes the world go round...or flip for that matter! Lol! But in all seriousness, it's those in between moments that make the best images. I'm also obsessed with capturing the pureness and tinyness of babies. Newborns are such unique little humans. They are the main subjects that I absolutely LOVE to photograph...all their little details are perfection!
If you're passionate about these things, too, I'd love to meet you! Let's chat!
